About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), providing care to patients following anesthesia. The role focuses on patient recovery and monitoring post-operative patients. It is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and requires evening shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be willing to work holidays, including two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a PACU or similar clinical setting.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Availability to work evening shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
- Willingness to work holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with orthopedic, plastic surgery, general surgery, colorectal, and gynecological procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the post-anesthesia recovery phase.
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications as needed.
- Assess patient recovery and report complications to physicians.
- Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
