About The Position

Champion patient safety during critical recovery by providing specialized direct nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring a stable transition from the operating room. Maintain a sterile and safe environment by strictly following clinical hygiene standards to prevent infections and protect patient health. Optimize patient comfort and recovery by continuously assessing responses to treatment and actively managing pain to support a smooth, compassionate healing process. Direct the care journey through vigilant monitoring and proactive decision making, anticipating potential complications based on the specific procedure to ensure rapid intervention. Guarantee continuity of care by documenting every step of the patient’s progress, ensuring the entire medical team has accurate, high quality records for informed decision making.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Must have at least 2yrs of experience in acute care setting, preferably in PeriOp/PACU, emergency or Critical Care area.
  • Must maintain active certifications of BLS, ACLS, PALS, & NIHSS.
