About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, person-centered care to patients through education, clinical experience, and awareness of the care environment. The position is based at HealthNet’s Speedway Health Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is part-time at 24 hours per week. The role includes clinical care, patient education, collaboration with providers and care teams, and administrative duties. Requirements

Associate of Nursing (ASN).
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
Advanced life support certifications may be required depending on unit or department specialty and patient-care policies.
Upbeat, positive personality and a passion for serving and educating patients.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ conditions by observing and recording behavior.
Conduct accurate clinical assessments.
Administer medications and other treatment options.
Assist units and staff with obtaining necessary equipment, medications, and supplies, and help solve related problems as needed.
Collaborate with providers and care teams.
Assist with procedures.
Perform point-of-care testing.
Complete administrative duties, including patient paperwork.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with patients.
Maintain accurate reporting to the health department.
