About The Position

Mueller Surgery Center is a growing, patient-focused ambulatory surgery center dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care in a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a part-time basis. The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process, including Pre-Operative, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), and Operating Room Circulating responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Operative Nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Operating Room Circulating
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments and preparation.
  • Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patients in the PACU.
  • Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff.
  • Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing staff education.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.
