About The Position

Embark Behavioral Health in Independence, MO is seeking Registered Nurses to support adolescents (ages 12–17) in our short‑term residential program. In this role, you’ll assess student needs, administer medications, respond to illness or injury, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team. You’ll also communicate with families, coordinate care, and advocate for students throughout their healing journey. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.
  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and legal charting
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information effectively

  • Bedside hospital experience
  • Experience in diabetic care
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Assess and respond when a student isn’t feeling well.
  • Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health progress.
  • Collaborate with families and the care team by sharing important medical updates and advocating for student needs.
  • Track and document medications, including narcotics, every shift.
  • Receive training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to support upset teens as they arise.
  • Observe and document mood, behavior, and overall health.
