About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) on an indefinite contract, based in Park Ridge. The primary focus is ensuring compliance with Rule 116 at all sites, providing supervision and training to RN Nurse Trainers on Rules 115 and 116, and maintaining knowledge of the general health status of residents. The position involves reviewing, tracking, and participating in Quality Assurance for medication errors, auditing sites for compliance with Rules 115 and 116, and reviewing/updating policies and procedures of LSSI and DHS/DDD. On-call availability for consultation is required. The role demands professional, positive behavior, integrity, and respectful treatment of clients, families, colleagues, and external organizations.

Requirements

  • Unencumbered Illinois Professional Registered Nurse license required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year clinical professional experience within the past five (5) years required.
  • Ability to become an RN Nurse Trainer through DDD required.
  • Participation in ongoing learning opportunities to keep skills current required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
  • Excellent organization skills and basic pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Valid driver’s license, in the good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with development disabilities preferred.
  • Experience providing leadership and training to nursing and direct care personnel preferred.

Responsibilities
