About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Resource Pool in Harrisonburg, VA. The Nursing Resource pool at RMH Medical Center is hospital specific and includes floating to units with additional need due to either acuity or staffing. Primarily assigned to IMCU or Medical/Surgical units, this unit offers training and precepting on the ICU and ED for Registered Nurses (RN) who wish to move into these more critical care areas. This Nursing Resource Pool is ideal for those who enjoy variety or are interested in learning new skills. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
  • Registered nursing License (Required)
  • ACLS within 1 year of hire (Required)
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of acute care nursing experience is preferred
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
  • Critical care experience (preferred)
  • Medical Surgical experience (preferred)
  • Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Students in the process of completing a registered nursing program with previous experience in acute care clinical roles may be considered.
  • Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License with previous experience in acute care clinical roles may be considered.
