Registered Nurse - Ortho Med Surg
About The Position
Methodist Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse to join its Ortho Med Surg team. The RN manages episodes of patient care in partnership with patients, caregivers, groups, and other providers to achieve the shared goal of safe, quality health care. Care may be provided directly by the RN or coordinated and supervised when delegated to Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel. The schedule is 0.9 FTE, with straight overnight 12-hour shifts and every third weekend. A BSN is preferred, and it is generally expected that nurses without one obtain it within two years of hire. Benefits are available for eligible positions.
Requirements
- Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
- Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure patient safety.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; generally expected to be obtained within two years of hire.
