Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular Suite - per diem, day shift
About The Position
The Cardiovascular Suite at Beverly Hospital includes the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab), Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab), Interventional Radiology (IR), and non-invasive cardiology. The department provides comprehensive diagnostic and interventional procedures. Cardiovascular nurses monitor the quality of patient care in the suite and practice in accordance with evidence-based principles and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Nursing Division, Cardiovascular Department, and hospital. Nurses participate in procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Suite and are available for on-call shifts. The on-call requirement is 1–2 nights per week, in addition to every fourth weekend, for full-time and part-time staff or as departmental needs require. Holidays are covered by rotation, and the required on-call response time is 30 minutes or less.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Massachusetts RN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Previous ICU, CCU, or ED experience preferred.
- Previous experience with moderate sedation preferred.
- Cath lab or Interventional Radiology clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the quality of patient care in the Cardiovascular Suite.
- Provide care in accordance with evidence-based practice and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Nursing Division, Cardiovascular Department, and hospital.
- Participate in procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Suite.
- Be available for on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
