About The Position

Northshore Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliated with Select Medical, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The hospital serves individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas, addressing their medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges. This is a per-diem, as-needed position working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 to 7:00 in Lacombe, Louisiana.

The hospital offers an extensive orientation program to support the transition into the setting. The position may provide an opportunity to demonstrate skills and dedication that could lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per-diem employees may qualify for 401(k) eligibility upon reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program.
• Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
