Registered Nurse - 0-24 hours/week (Days) - Ambulatory Surgery Center - Gaylord, MI
About The Position
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at an ambulatory surgery center, you will provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will prepare patients for surgery, assist the surgical team, and help maintain a safe, sterile operating-room environment. You will also monitor vital signs, administer medications, and support patients during recovery. The facility is equipped with advanced surgical technology, an on-site sterile processing department, spacious and well-lit clinical areas, private consultation rooms, and a secure electronic medical records system. Clinical services include surgical procedures across specialties such as orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, and GI; minimally invasive techniques; anesthesia services; pre-operative assessments and post-operative care; and infection-control protocols. The position is 0–24 hours per week, with shifts Monday through Friday between 6:15 a.m. and 6:00/6:30 p.m. The employer states there are no nights or weekends. Employees must meet the stated vaccination or immunity requirements, including annual flu vaccination unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
- Ability to collaborate with and assist the surgical team.
- Strong communication skills to serve as a link between the surgical team, patients, and their families.
- Attention to detail to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Meet the employer's stated measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza vaccination or immunity requirements, subject to the stated exemption policy.
