About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) at St. Mary's Hospital. The role involves delivering patient care using the nursing process, including data collection, assessment, problem identification, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will also coordinate and direct patient teaching and collaborate with health team members. The position requires on-call duties and living within 30 minutes of the facility. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license from the state of practice
• Associate of Nursing, nursing
• Diploma in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Analyzes assessment data and creates a plan of care.
• Implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Administers medications safely and in accordance with state regulations and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies.
• Serves as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
