About The Position
The Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse in the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) provides inpatient, crisis services for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse crises. The CSU is designed for individuals at substantial risk of imminent harm to self or others, aiming to stabilize them through nursing and behavioral support on a time-limited basis. The role involves providing nursing care within the 24-hour CSU as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. The Charge Nurse supervises LPNs and paraprofessionals during their shift, manages admissions and discharges, conducts therapeutic groups, and ensures documentation meets the standard of care.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current RN licensure in state of Georgia.
- Valid, unrestricted Georgia Driver’s License.
- Must be computer literate.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- 2+ years experience in Behavioral Health field.
