About The Position

Registered Nurse position in an ICU/IMCU setting, with a patient ratio of 1:2–3. The unit cares for adults through geriatric patients. The role requires experience with sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, ventilators and tracheostomies, DKA, dialysis, stroke post-TPA, COVID, cardiogenic shock, and surgical patients. Ventilator experience is required. The unit accepts first-time travelers, and floating may be required within the facility and to a sister campus. The position uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR. Candidates are reviewed by clinical staff for fit and, if they pass clinical review and meet Piedmont guidelines, are sent to the manager for a final decision. Clinical screens are conducted case by case. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIH certification required.
• Ventilator experience required.
• Experience with sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, ventilators/tracheostomies, DKA, dialysis, stroke post-TPA, COVID, cardiogenic shock, and surgical patients.
• Must be available to float within the facility and to a sister campus if needed.
• Weekend work is required every other weekend.
• Holiday work is required according to the assignment-period holiday schedule.

Nice To Haves

• CCRN certification preferred.
