This is a full-time, 0.9 FTE Registered Nurse position with flexible scheduling, primarily for night shifts. The role involves completing comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans using the nursing process, and synthesizing data to identify problems and formulate goals. The Registered Nurse will implement care plans using critical thinking and problem-solving skills, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They will also be responsible for beginning, delivering, assigning, or delegating interventions within legal, ethical, and regulatory parameters, focusing on health restoration, disease prevention, wellness, and promotion of healthy lifestyles. Evaluating and reporting patient outcomes, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, observing patient safety alerts, and accurately entering patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) are key responsibilities. The role also includes developing action plans to improve patient care by monitoring nurse-sensitive indicators, participating in unit-based PI activities, supervising nursing students, and potentially serving as a charge nurse or resource nurse. Directing, delegating, and providing feedback to support personnel is also part of the role.
