About The Position

This is a float pool position based at St John's Regional but will be required to float to St John's Pleasant Valley. The primary unit is 2North, a 31-bed Telemetry unit at St John's Regional, which cares for a high acuity patient population including those with pneumonia, end-stage renal disease, post cath lab, respiratory distress, CHF, and COPD. Nurses will be responsible for primary care nursing, and while there are nurse aides and monitor techs, resources can be limited and nurses will be busy. The position also requires floating to other units within St John's Regional (3North or 2 South for tele or med-surg) and to St John's Pleasant Valley (SJPVH) to work telemetry or med-surg, and potentially to the ER for MS/Tele holds. At St John's Pleasant Valley, the role will be on the ACU unit, which is a combination of Telemetry, Med-Surg, and DOU (though travelers will not work DOU).
