About The Position
Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their medical inpatient unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This role is part of a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence and emphasizes respect for nursing professional practice. The unit serves a diverse patient population aged 22 to 100+ with various diagnoses, including gastrointestinal disorders, infections, behavioral health issues, neurological and circulatory impairments, kidney disease, and diabetes. The unit has 32 beds, including 16 semi-private rooms, and has implemented nurse-driven change projects. The unit partners closely with a Physician Medical Director, and the Manager is committed to professional growth and the nursing model of care. Requirements
- Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- Diploma in Nursing (Required)
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients aged 22 to 100+ with common diagnoses such as acute or chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, infections processes, behavioral health, neurological & circulatory impairment, kidney disease, and diabetes.
- Participate in nurse driven change projects.
- Collaborate with the Physician Medical Director.
