Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Unit, Per Diem
About The Position
Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their medical inpatient unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This role is on a unit that serves a wide variety of patients aged 22 to 100+ with common diagnoses including acute or chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, infections, behavioral health, neurological & circulatory impairment, kidney disease, and diabetes. The unit has 32 beds, 16 semi-private rooms, and has implemented nurse-driven change projects. The unit manager is dedicated to professional growth and the nursing model of care, with a close partnership with the Physician Medical Director. Baystate Health emphasizes respect for nursing professional practice and offers opportunities for growth and learning within an academic medical center and community hospitals.
Requirements
- Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- Diploma in Nursing (Required)
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts
