About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking exceptional RN’s to join their dedicated and passionate Labor and Delivery team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. As the only high-risk peripartum unit in the region, Labor & Delivery provides cutting-edge evidence-based care to pregnant, laboring, and post-partum patients in a collaborative, lively, dynamic environment. The team works hard to provide individualized care for pregnant persons and their chosen support/families as they navigate the most medically acute portions of their pregnancy and birth journeys. The unit utilizes 7 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, and 2 ORs to care for over 1,800 delivers per year, and twice as many triage/antepartum patients. The nursing team are experts on acute perinatal care that supports both physiologic birth and surgical delivery. They offer a spectrum of support for laboring/birthing patients that range from high-touch/low-intervention (water therapy, aroma therapy, 1:1 coaching and support) to high-acuity/high-intervention (IV pain medication, Epidural anesthesia, PCA nitrous oxide, surgical delivery) and everything in-between. Regardless of labor course or delivery method, they offer person-centered coping support, and education. Their goal is empowered birth, for every patient, every time.
