About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in support of medical care, as directed by medical staff and in accordance with hospital objectives and policies. The RN supervises unlicensed personnel who may provide care to clients assigned to the RN. As a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team, the RN participates actively in continuous, unit-based and hospital-wide performance improvement processes, following the standards of practice defined by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, Tenet corporate standards of conduct, and NMC policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate degree or diploma in nursing.
- Graduate nurse with a temporary permit; a Texas RN license is required.
- BLS certification, to be completed within three months of employment.
- ACLS certification, to be completed within three months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to hospital objectives and policies.
- Supervise unlicensed personnel who may provide care to clients assigned to the RN.
- Collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
- Participate in continuous, unit-based and hospital-wide performance improvement processes.
