About The Position

Join the highly specialized Cardiac Device team in providing advanced cardiac care in a collaborative, high-performing environment. The role combines procedural coordination, patient education, and clinical nursing responsibilities across phone-based and in-person care. The Registered Nurse works closely with cardiology physicians and advanced practice clinicians to support patients undergoing cardiac device procedures, including device implants, and to help elevate nursing practice in a subspecialty setting. The role also includes management and care of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). The position is based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and is full-time at 0.9 FTE (72 hours per two weeks). The schedule consists of 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with no weekends, holidays, or call obligation.

Requirements

Minimum associate degree in Nursing.
RN licensure to practice in Wisconsin upon hire.
At least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience, including at least 1 year of cardiology nursing experience.
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification.
ACLS certification required after hire.

Nice To Haves

Strong cardiology knowledge and a passion for continuous learning.
Knowledge of and passion for heart rhythm management.
Experience with EPIC.

Responsibilities

Manage cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) and their care.
Perform phone triage and patient education.
Complete medication refills and manage EPIC in-basket and MyChart messages.
Provide in-person device interrogation, evaluation, and optimization of device settings based on clinical needs.
Conduct device interrogations in the OR, Emergency Services, MRI, Radiation Oncology, and Pain Medicine settings.
Assist with procedure coordination and in-office procedures.
