About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Ortho Trauma department at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, TX. The position is full-time with a day shift schedule. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and tracking patient care plans, monitoring and communicating patient conditions, coordinating interdisciplinary care, executing physician and nursing directives, and managing discharge planning for safe patient transitions.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and track customized, evidence-based patient care plans.
• Record and communicate real-time clinical changes to the care team.
• Coordinate all disciplines to ensure seamless, holistic patient care.
• Precisely execute physician and nursing directives with clinical accuracy.
• Manage discharge planning to ensure safe and successful patient transitions.
