About The Position

As a Maternity Registered Nurse, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period. You will support recovery, promote bonding, and deliver education that empowers families as they transition home. The role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment. The position is in the Maternity and Newborn Nursery at UHS Wilson Medical Center and is scheduled for 32 hours per week on a day rotational shift.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current New York State RN License.
Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
Relevant skills certification, such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, as required by the assigned home unit.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
