About The Position

Registered Nurses at Newport Healthcare provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults receiving treatment. The role includes health screenings, direct nursing care, monitoring chronic health conditions, evaluating medical concerns and communicating them to the appropriate NP or MD, supporting multidisciplinary treatment teams, administering medications, ordering refills, and following applicable policies, protocols, and regulations. This position works 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including every other weekend. The compensation range is $39 to $59 per hour, based on education and years of experience. Evening, night, and weekend shift differentials are offered.

Requirements

Hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state where applying.
Demonstrate sound decision-making based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.

Be able to multitask and remain calm and organized under pressure or in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

Experience in residential nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Complete client health screenings and provide direct care and nursing services as needed, including monitoring chronic health conditions.
Evaluate residents’ medical complaints and concerns during on-site hours and relay information to the appropriate NP or MD.
Serve as a member of patients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams.
Administer medications and order medication refills.
Comply with policies and procedures, including OSHA, HIPAA, medical protocols, infection-control requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
