About The Position
HomeWorks, a division of United Methodist Communities, is hiring a per diem Staffing Registered Nurse to provide nursing care and clinical support for older adults across Northern New Jersey. The role serves residents in assisted living and skilled nursing settings. The position pays $45 per hour, with day, evening, and night shifts available according to scheduling needs and the nurse’s availability. Weekend shifts are also available.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered New Jersey RN license.
- One year of nursing experience.
- Flu vaccine; medical and religious exemptions are considered.
- Must be able to produce a negative drug test.
- May be subject to a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Nursing experience in long-term care or assisted living is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and resident support in assisted living and skilled nursing settings.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and community policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care, resident observations, and clinical updates.
- Communicate resident status and care updates during shift handoffs to support continuity of care.
- Assess resident needs, monitor changes in condition, and follow established procedures for reporting concerns.
- Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to support resident care and daily operations.
