About The Position
Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the Joints/Observation unit. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in postoperative joint surgery care and observation patients. Flexible scheduling!! Registered nurses on this unit enjoy self-scheduling along with the opportunity to obtain medical surgical certification, orthopedic certification, and much more for FREE! Requirements
- Registered Nurse
- Associates Degree – Nursing OR Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing OR Upcoming graduate from an accredited RN program
- Previous acute care experience preferred
- All levels of experience are encouraged to apply
Nice To Haves
- Experience or interest in postoperative joint surgery care and observation patients.
Responsibilities
- Orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in Medical-Surgical areas.
- Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards with in-person sessions utilizing case studies, gaming, simulation, and skills labs.
- Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Hands-on experience alongside a trained nurse preceptor.
- Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe, protected environment.
- A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses).
