About The Position

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Behavioral Health Nursing team at Union Hospital’s Cecil County Campus in Maryland. The position is part time, 12 hours per week, in a behavioral health unit. The schedule is night shift during the week, with rotating day shifts on weekends; weekends and holidays follow department guidelines. Behavioral health (psychiatric) nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is required. Candidates with strong acute-care medical-surgical experience and a demonstrated passion for behavioral health may also be considered. Crisis-area knowledge is strongly preferred. The hourly pay range is $42.11–$67.37. The actual rate offered depends on individual factors, including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications. Requirements

Current Maryland RN license or eligibility for a Maryland RN license.
BLS certification required.
Two years of medical-surgical experience in an acute-care setting.
Behavioral health (psychiatric) nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is required.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Knowledge of the Crisis Area is strongly preferred.
Psychiatric nursing experience is strongly preferred.
Professional certification in Psychiatric–Mental Health or Medical/Surgical preferred.
Candidates with strong medical-surgical experience and a proven passion for behavioral health may also be considered.
