About The Position

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Behavioral Health Nursing team at Union Hospital’s Cecil County Campus in Maryland. This part-time position is scheduled for 12 hours per week on the Behavioral Unit. The regular schedule is night shift during the week, with rotating day shifts on weekends. Weekend and holiday work follows department guidelines. Behavioral Health (psychiatric) nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is required. Candidates with strong medical-surgical experience and a demonstrated passion for behavioral health may also be considered. Knowledge of the Crisis Area is strongly preferred. Requirements

Current Maryland RN license or eligibility for a Maryland RN license.
BLS certification required.
Behavioral Health (psychiatric) nursing experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is required.
Two years of medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting.
Strong medical-surgical experience and a demonstrated passion for behavioral health may be considered in lieu of behavioral health nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Knowledge of the Crisis Area strongly preferred.
Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.
Professional certification in Psychiatric–Mental Health or Medical/Surgical preferred.
