Demonstrates clinical competency by using evidence-based practices and research throughout the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. Incorporates safety protocols, cost containment, and quality improvement into nursing care, and identifies patient, unit, and organizational priorities. The unit also cares for overflow general surgery, trauma, and medical patients. The position is bonus eligible. The acute inpatient setting may require staff to be scheduled for weekend, holiday, and on-call work. This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
