About The Position

Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a full-time position with 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm). The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that handles high acuity patients, including those requiring care for transplant, advanced head and neck conditions, cardiac issues, trauma, oncology, and pediatric and geriatric patients. The department boasts a patient ratio of 1:4 in the main ED and 1:3 in trauma, with 36 beds. It handles high daily volumes (150-170 patients) and is equipped for ECMO, LVAD, Chest Pain, and Stroke care. The facility is a Level III trauma center and features an Emergency Medicine Residency Program and Tele-Psych capabilities. The hospital itself is an award-winning, full-service facility with 538 licensed beds, recognized for excellence in cardiology, transplantation, oncology, and women's services. It holds Magnet Recognition Program accreditation and has been ranked highly by US News & World Report for various specialties. Requirements

• Graduation from an Accredited Program
• 1 year of ED experience - REQUIRED
• RN license
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting

Responsibilities

• Provide care to high acuity patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
• Manage patient care for a diverse population including transplant, advanced head and neck, cardiac, trauma, oncology, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
• Adhere to patient ratios of 1:4 in the main ED and 1:3 in trauma.
• Utilize skills in ECMO, LVAD, Chest Pain, and Stroke care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level III trauma center.
• Participate in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
• Utilize Tele-Psych capabilities.
• Engage in the Active Unit Based Council.
