About The Position

Home Care Assistance is seeking two Registered Nurses (RNs) for overnight shifts at our LTC IOOF in Barrie. This is a casual position with 8 and 12-hour shifts, requiring availability every other weekend. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience. Requirements

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Vulnerable sector screen (within 6 months)
• 2 satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Tracheostomy trained, med resistive and reactive, comfortable with managing seizures
• Must have a valid license and reliable vehicle
• Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations
• LTC experience 2+ years

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments and reassessments
• Developing, monitoring, and updating plans of care, as assigned
• Providing medication support and administration
• Responding to all emergency situations
• Completing reports and communicating with the family about any changes in care
• Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times
• Charge Nurse Responsibilities
• All other duties, as assigned
