The RN explains complex medical terminology in understandable language and provides education about non-medicinal follow-up, including healthy lifestyle changes, to prepare patients and caregivers for ongoing self-management. The role also applies evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the RN coordinates, evaluates, customizes, and delivers holistic treatment plans that promote and support recovery.
