About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients assigned to the Women’s Center / Pediatric Area, supporting medical care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with hospital objectives and policies. The work includes direct and indirect patient care and collaboration with other disciplines involved in care. The position includes responsibilities in an OB/GYN setting and is listed as full-time nights.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience as a registered nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Must hold a valid Texas RN license.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred; must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Correctly administer and maintain fluid and volume replacement measures.
• Correctly administer medications and treatments.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to psychosocial considerations, including mothers’ emotional reactions, mother-infant bonding, family integration, and relationships with significant others.
