About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients assigned to the Women’s Center / Pediatric Area, supporting medical care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with hospital objectives and policies. The work includes direct and indirect patient care and collaboration with other disciplines involved in providing care. The position is for full-time nights. It may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Requirements

Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing.
At least 1 year of nursing experience as an RN.
BLS certification required.
NRP certification required.
ACLS certification preferred; must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Valid Texas RN license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients in the Women’s Center / Pediatric Area.
Assess patient needs and address them effectively.
Use technical and critical-thinking skills to perform care interventions.
Correctly use tools and equipment involved in patient care.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in providing care.
Maintain a safe patient environment and perform the nursing role during emergencies.
Administer and maintain fluid and volume replacement measures correctly.
Administer medications and treatments correctly.
Recognize and appropriately respond to mothers’ emotional reactions, mother-infant bonding and symbiotic relationships, and family integration and relationships with significant others.
Participate in educational offerings to support professional growth and development.
Comply with applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the Corporate Ethics Program.
Demonstrate customer service skills.
