Registered Nurse (RN) - Middletown Emergency Department - Day/Evening
About The Position
The Middletown Emergency Department currently seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse. Join our Free-Standing Emergency Department serving Middletown-Odessa-Townsend area. Our modern, full-service emergency department features: 22 private treatment rooms, 24/7 staffing by board-certified emergency physicians and experienced emergency nurses, on-site laboratory with walk-in hours (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), dedicated imaging services, and comprehensive care for the most common emergency needs. Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware. This 1,007-bed, 1.3-million-square-foot modern facility provides a level of care only available in large-scale teaching hospitals. Christiana Hospital includes Delaware's only Level-I Trauma center (as verified by the American College of Surgeons), which is prepared to handle the most extreme medical emergencies. In fact, it is the only Level-I Trauma center on the East Coast corridor between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Christiana Hospital has also been nationally recognized in U.S. News & World Report's Best Regional Hospitals rankings as #1 in Delaware and #3 in the Philadelphia metro area, plus High Performing in 9 Adult Procedures/Conditions.
Requirements
- BSN required or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
- At least one year of experience in a medical/surgical acute care environment is required.
- BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of nursing experience in an emergency department or critical care setting preferred.
- ACLS is preferred.
