About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health team at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a part-time day position based at the Downtown - Main Building in Jacksonville, Florida. The nurse provides patient care through the nursing process and in alignment with the organization’s mission, supervises supportive personnel, and coordinates care with ancillary services. The role includes patients and their significant others or families in developing individualized plans of care and educates them about disease processes and care plans. The position requires a Florida level II background screening, including fingerprint-based state and national criminal history checks, as a condition of employment and continued employment.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1–2 years of Behavioral Health Nursing experience.
- Diploma-prepared nurses must have 5 or more years of progressive care.
- Must undergo a level II fingerprint-based background screening covering state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history.
Responsibilities
- Provide for patient needs through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in alignment with the organization’s mission.
- Supervise care provided by supportive personnel and coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
- Include patients and their significant others or families in developing individualized plans of care.
- Educate patients and their significant others or families about disease processes and plans of care.
