About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides for patient needs through the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—in alignment with the organization’s mission. The role includes organizing and supervising care provided by supportive personnel and coordinating care provided by ancillary services. The nurse involves patients and their significant others or families in developing individualized plans of care and educates them about the disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities also include coordinating and preparing the assigned room or case, assessing patient-care needs, and anticipating the needs of the case. This position requires call. ICU RNs use the RN Performance Standards.
