Pomerene Hospital, located in Millersburg, Ohio, is a community-focused healthcare facility committed to delivering quality medical services. The hospital is known for its patient-centered approach and offers a variety of services including emergency care, hospital medical care, surgical procedures, specialized treatments, and physician-based services. Pomerene Hospital is a 25-bed, not-for-profit rural community hospital and is one of the largest employers in Holmes County, serving local and neighboring counties. The hospital is seeking full-time and part-time Registered Nurses (RNs) for various departments including Med Surg/Special Care, Maternity/OB, Emergency Department, and Float positions. The role of a Pomerene nurse involves supporting the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan within a team-oriented environment, while adhering to all laws, regulations, and professional standards. Professionalism in appearance and behavior is expected.

Responsibilities
- Support the mission and role of Pomerene Hospital within the organization and the community.
- Demonstrate support of the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan in a team-oriented environment.
- Perform all job duties in compliance with laws, regulations, and accrediting agency standards.
- Maintain professionalism in physical appearance and behavioral presentation.
- Move throughout the facility as needed and appropriately assist in emergency drills and situations.
- Demonstrate the physical, clinical, and professional capacity to provide direct patient care.
- Coordinate patient care as assigned, including assessing and interpreting patient care information and data.
- Provide appropriate patient and family education.
- Work cooperatively with unit staff, physicians, and ancillary departments.
- Maintain high standards for professional nursing practice.
- Perform all tasks and duties according to hospital and department policy and procedure.
- Demonstrate commitment to Pomerene Hospital’s Values.
- Actively support and encourage Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family involvement in patient's care, with patient consent.
- Include PSP / family members in discussions of nursing plan of care, medications, physician consultations, and discharge instructions.
- Encourage PSP / family member presence at the patient's bedside and participation in patient care.
