About The Position

Pinnacle Specialty Care, a 100-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Cedar Falls, Iowa, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care in a skilled nursing environment. This role works a weekend evening package schedule of Friday through Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and offers competitive wages with weekend package premium pay. The RN supports daily clinical operations, promotes resident safety and quality care, administers medications and treatments, monitors residents’ conditions, and responds to changes in status. The position collaborates with nursing and interdisciplinary colleagues, communicates with residents and families, documents care, and follows infection control, safety, and compliance protocols. Care Initiatives describes its team as serving more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa and highlights inclusive and welcoming working and learning environments.

Requirements

Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
Current, valid CPR certification.
Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
