About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at USDH delivers nursing care to patients undergoing procedures, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The role includes direct patient interaction, coordination of care, supervision and delegation to non-licensed staff, and compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. The RN reports to the Director of Endoscopy Operations and Nurse Manager. The position operates in a professional medical office environment and uses standard office equipment. It is per diem, with no weekends required; travel depends on location.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current State Registered Nurse licensure.
Current BLS/ACLS certification.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures, following established protocols and the nursing process.
Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and non-licensed staff as necessary.
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient care.
Assist with procedures as required, following physician orders and PA State Board of Nursing guidelines.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, response to treatment, and overall condition, intervening as needed.
Administer medications according to physician orders, protocols, and safety guidelines.
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards.
Collaborate with staff, physicians, and management to address nursing issues and interpret facility policies.
Participate in performance improvement, infection control, emergency preparedness, safety, and quality assurance programs.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with patients and staff.
