Registered Nurse
About The Position
DaVita is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in an outpatient dialysis center. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families who are dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The position requires delivering care in an empathetic and compassionate manner. Dialysis experience is not required, and training may occur in a facility or training clinic other than the assigned home clinic. The role involves floating to various clinics during and after training. A flexible schedule is necessary, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. In this role, you will build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting. You will be part of a supportive team in a positive environment. The job involves delivering care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and the application of a broad range of nursing skills. You will oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs, conducting patient observations, measuring stats, and setting up machines. This fast-paced environment requires using your intellect, compassion, and practical skills daily.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
Responsibilities
- Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measuring stats and machine set up.
- Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities which require unique treatment plans and the ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
- Build meaningful and long term relationships with patients and their family in an intimate outpatient setting.
- Float to various clinics during and after your training.
