Registered Nurse - ER
About The Position
This is a contract travel Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital in Napa, California. The role involves 12-hour night shifts with variable start times of 1500 or 1900 and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. First-time travelers are accepted. The facility may call off once per two-week pay period, and block schedule accommodation is unavailable. No on-call work or floating between like units is required. Every other weekend is required, and local candidates are accepted. Applicants must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable. The hospital has 200 staffed beds, uses Epic for charting, and requires solid royal-blue scrubs for RNs. Parking is free. RTO restrictions must be included when the candidate is submitted. Pending licenses are not accepted. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccination status is unknown.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of RN experience.
- Active RN license; pending licenses are not accepted.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS (BCLA) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- PALS certification.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Provide registered nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Care for patients within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
