The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in an Orthopedic Surgery Clinic. The role involves providing ongoing patient care using the nursing process, recognizing and responding to changes in patient status, and determining care priorities. The RN will perform triage, communicate with healthcare team members, document patient information, and prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and updating health information. Responsibilities include performing laboratory procedures, assisting physicians with procedures and surgeries, administering medications, and initiating/maintaining IV therapy. The RN will also provide patient education, manage procedure/test requests, and perform advanced clinical tasks under supervision. Additionally, the role involves assisting with staff development, acting as a clinical resource, and organizing/maintaining exam rooms and equipment. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
