Come work on our BRAND NEW Medical and Surgical unit which, is a fast-paced, 14-bed unit that offers rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet designated hospital. This position will cover both Medical/Surgical 1st and 3rd floors providing a unique opportunity to care for Med/Surg, IMC and Short Stay patients! We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to help provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and diversity. Join a team of remarkable nurses caring for general care, select IMC, and Med/Surg Short Stay patients across a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. Work in a collaborative environment, surrounded by state of the art technology, evidence-based practice and a strong interdisciplinary team. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes. Collaborate in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care. Manage patients post operatively and provide expert discharge planning in a high-volume, fast-moving setting.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred
  • Relevant Certification Preferred
