About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Freestanding Emergency Department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The nurse will lead and execute individualized care plans by continuously monitoring patient health status and adjusting clinical interventions to drive optimal patient recovery and quality outcomes. They will serve as the primary clinical coordinator by collaborating across multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, specialists, and therapists—to deliver seamlessly integrated patient care. The nurse will execute medical orders with precision by accurately interpreting, noting, and carrying out physician and nursing directives in accordance with clinical safety protocols. Additionally, they will champion safe patient transitions by evaluating discharge readiness and coordinating post-care needs with the care team to prepare patients and families for successful at-home recovery.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
