Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding ER
About The Position
Inova Lorton Healthplex, Emergency Room is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our team. This is a Part Time Day Shift, 7am-7pm (2 shifts per week). During orientation, the nurse will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights). A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available. The Emergency Room at the Inova HealthPlex – Lorton is the only ambulance-access emergency department in Lorton, VA. This 24-hour Emergency Room has 18 beds and is staffed with board-certified emergency physicians, emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and features 24-hour lab testing and radiology including X-ray, CT scan & ultrasound.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- BLS from American Heart Association
- Proficient in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
- Proficient computer skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Strongly prefer 2 year plus of ED RN experience.
- CEN/ACLS certification desired
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
- Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
- Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
- Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
