About The Position

Baylor University Medical Center is seeking experienced ECMO RNs to join their ELSO Platinum Center of Excellence program. The ECMO ICU RN is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, including ventricular assist devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy, and ECMO. The team is dedicated to providing elite extracorporeal care. The patient population includes all ECLS patients receiving VA, VV, VP, VA-V, RVAD, and ECPR therapies for conditions such as postcardiotomy syndrome, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, pre and post heart/lung transplant, ARDS, and post cardiac arrest. The department features 10 dedicated ECMO beds within the CTTICU, 24/7 physician and ACNP coverage, a 100% certification rate (CCRN, CSC), multiple research trials, and is one of two NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN-led transport teams. Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• RN – Registered Nurse min 1-year CVICU or SICU experience
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS- American Heart Association
• CCRN – through AACN within 6 months of hire
