About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides care within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act in an environment responsive to patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Working collaboratively as part of a team, the RN is accountable for delivering patient care using the Nursing Process and following the organization’s standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position is in the Emergency Department at Mount Carmel Grove City and is scheduled for three 12-hour evening shifts per week, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, promote patient safety, support evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and demonstrate professionalism consistent with the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® model.
• Assess and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement plans of care addressing physical, spiritual, and educational needs.
• Communicate pertinent information accurately and promptly to appropriate team members, and keep patients and families updated.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and completely according to applicable standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Accept responsibility and accountability, as appropriate, for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers.
