About The Position

Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine is a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health facility providing acute behavioral health care and outpatient treatment to adults and geriatric adults in crisis due to severe symptoms related to behavioral health and/or substance use disorder. We are seeking a passionate RN to join our team and improve behavioral health in the community. This role involves providing psychiatric care to adults and geriatric patients requiring inpatient hospitalization due to mental disorders, including cognitive illnesses. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care within the scope of your license in a supportive and therapeutic environment. This includes assessing physical and behavioral health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining medical records, and educating patients and their families about various health conditions.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Ability to provide professional nursing care
Ability to assess physical and behavioral health needs
Ability to develop and implement nursing care plans
Ability to maintain medical records
Ability to educate patients and families

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to person(s) receiving services in a supportive and therapeutic environment within the scope of their professional license.
Coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of person(s) receiving services.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records.
Educate person(s) receiving services and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
