About The Position
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care (Intensive Care Unit) department. This is a temporary full-time position located in Stratford, ON. Requirements
- Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course, or equivalent (current experience).
- Recent 12-lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Recognized Critical Care certificate required.
- Minimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in an Intensive Care Unit as an equivalent required.
- Pacemaker Management.
- Ventilator Management.
- Haemodynamic Monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications.
Nice To Haves
- Recognized Critical Care Certificate
- CNCC(C)
- Minimum of 2 years recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting and willing to obtain Critical Care certificate within one (1) year of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
- Engage patient and family partners in patient education related to the Critical Care setting.
- Plan, organize, and problem-solve effectively.
- Work independently and as a team member.
- Utilize Meditech Information System and personal computer applications.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.
